HIV & Infectious Diseases

The Johns Hopkins AIDS Service (JHAS) was established in 1983, making it the oldest AIDS care program in the mid-Atlantic region, and the service consistently ranks as one of the top three AIDS care facilities in the United States in the annual U.S. News and World Report hospital rating issue.

The clinic runs complete dermatology services dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases associated with all stages of HIV infection, such as inflammatory diseases, infectious processes and unique cancers seen in individuals who are HIV positive.

We perform minor surgical procedures such as diagnostic skin biopsies, minor excisions, cyst removal, electrodesiccation and curettage, cryosurgery, infrared photocoagulation, chemocauterization and intralesional injections in our clinic. We refer larger surgical procedures to the dermatological surgery clinic at the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and laser procedures to the Johns Hopkins Cosmetic Center at Green Spring Station.

Currently we are one of the few medical centers in the country equipped and staffed to perform screening anal cytology (PAP smears) and High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) aiding early detection and treatment of the increasingly more common HPV-induced anal cancer.

The Moore Clinic is open Mondays and Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm and Thursdays 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

For appointments, please call 410-955-6414.

The John Hopkins Outpatient Center is open Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

For appointments, please call 410-955-3345
