The
Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology has a strong tradition in scientific
research. Defining the molecular basis of dermatologic diseases, particularly
autoimmune diseases, has established the department as a leading center
for the investigation of many skin diseases. The Department of Dermatology
at Johns Hopkins offers subspecality and consultative care for individuals
with complex dermatologic disease including lymphoma, melanoma, auto-immune
disorders, contact dermatitis, transplant and surgery. Dermatologists
collaborate with other scientists in the fields of immunology, oncology,
allergy, rheumatology and molecular biology in a team setting to provide
maximum benefit to our patients.
Our
mission is to provide excellence in research, teaching and patient care.
With the thought of patient care, we have added a new educational website:
HopkinsSkinCancer.org. Here you will be able to access new information
pertaining to melanoma and skin cancer for both patient and healthcare
provider.
We continue daily to search for pertinent information to update our website.
This is to better serve our patients and colleagues.
