His residencies consisted of Internal Medicine from University of Michigan, and Dermatology from Harvard.

Board Certified in Dermatology, and Practicing out of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Dr. Lazarus' clinical interests include General Dermatology, psoriasis, cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease, cutaneous ulcers. Research interests include;
Mast cell disease, cutaneous ulcers, and evidence based medicine wound healing
